- Mary W. Scheihing Thompson passed away August 30, 1999, Mary was born on November 18, 1907 in Belmont, Ohio. She moved to Oklahoma when she and her twin sister, Martha Henderson were 8 years old. She attended school in Guthrie, OK where she met and married Rudolf Scheihing in 1929. They moved from Guthrie to Witchita in 1942, then to Shawnee, OK, Ada, OK and Oklahoma City. They had two sons, John Scheihing of Stillwater, OK and Edwin Scheihing of Edmond, OK. She has four grandchildren;Terry Scheihing of Dallas, TX,, Jeff Scheihing of Edmond, OK, Monica Miller of OKC, and Jim Scheihing of Edmond, OK. She has four great grandchildren, and is also survived by her sisters, Martha Henderson and Betty Lou Combs of OKC, and brother John Ramsey of OKC.
After her husband's death in 1972 she married Tommy Thompson.
She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City, OK. Mary was a volunteer at Baptist Hospital for many years. She has two stepchildren, Eugene Thompson of Austin, TX and Taloah Thorpe of Littleton, CO. After the death of her husband, she moved to Stillwater.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 2, 1999, at Guardian North Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. [1]
