      FLYNN - On the 3rd instant, at the residence of his brother-in-law, Balmain, Michael, the youngest son of the late Mr Patrick Flynn, of Pitt Water, and brother of Mrs E Merritt, aged 27 years.

      According to the Porter papers, Michael Flynn was a custom’s officer in Sydney.
      This info from Angela Moylan, letter written 6 September 1954. Grandmother Milan maiden name was Flynn her brothr Michael Flynn was a customs officer in Sydney.
