Word has been received of the death on Wednesday of Catherine (Kit) Whitney, 87, sister of Sr Anne Ryan (Rockdale). Kit had been resident in a Nursing Home in Glenfield for about 12 months. However, yesterday she took ill and was transferred to Liverpool Hospital where she suffered a heart attack about 8:20 am and died very soon after. Kit was a kind, loving, generous person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by 6 children: Peter, John, Tony, Jim, Mark and Elizabeth, and by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
