      Admitted to Armidale hospital for a hysterectomy and never woke from the anaesthetic.

      A wedding was solemnised on Wednesday, May 6th at Wyndella, by the REv W P Best. The contracting parties were Miss Ethel, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs Roberts, of Wyndella, and James, second son of Mr and Mrs J J
      Ferris of Milbank Dumaresq. The bride, wo was given away by her father, was tastefully attired in a dress of white crepe de chene, trimmed with silk insertion and peals, and wore the customary wreath and veil. She carried a shower bouquet, of white chrysanthemums and maiden hair-ferns, and wore a gold banglem thegift of the bridegroom.
      The bridesmaids were Miss Tottie and Rita, sisters of the bride and were attired in dresses of pale blue and pale pink crystalline, with hats to match, and carried bouquets of pink roses and maiden-hair ferns.
      They wore gold dress rings, gifts of the bridegroom. Messrs E and N Ferris acted as best man and groomsman respectively. After the ceremony, the company adjourned to a large marquee, where a sumptuous repast was partaken of.
      The Rev W P Best, in a very appropriate speech, proposed the health of the ‘bride and groom’ to which the bridegroom responded. Mr T R Dawson proposed the health of the ‘bridesmaids’, Mr E Ferris responding. The health of ‘The Bride and Bridegrooms Parents’ was proposted by Mr T Strahle, to which Mr J J Ferris responded.
      Mr and Mrs Ferris left the same evening for Newcastle and Sydney whence they will retun to their new home in Tenterfield. The bride’s travelling-dress was grey tweed, with hat to match. The presents were numerous and costly, including a number of chques. [8, 9]
