Obituary
Mr W T A Squires
The death occurred suddenly on Sunday of Mr Walter Thomas Austin Squires, a well-known resident of the Glencoe district. The late Mr Squires, who was 62 years of age, had been in failing health and had for some time been under medical care. On Sunday, it is understood, he had gone to one of the paddocks on his property to attend to a horse, when he collapsed and died.
A resident of Glencoe practically all his life, the late Mr Squires is survived by his widow and a grown-up family.
The funeral, which moved from his late residence yesterday to the Glencoe cemetery, was largely attended. The service was read by Mr B Cameron, and arrangements were made by A E Hogbin, of Glen Innes.
