      obituary
Kathleen Sarah Johnston )nee Noonan) 23/4/31 - 13/8/04
Mum was born in Scone and very proud of her heritage.
In February 1953 she married Robert Johnston (Bob) and they raised five children.
Mum and Dad’s door was always open to everyone, family and friends alike and all were made very welcome. It was always a lot of fun at home.
In February 1973, we lost Robert, aged 17. Mum and Dad coped with this enormous loss and got on with life. The following year Mum nursed her youngest girl through a long illness.
Dad passed away on August 15, 1989 and Mum nursed him through to the last day. Through all these years she was the carer of many. She spent nearly 30 years working in the Scone nursing homes where she built many strong friendships. Some I would say would be just like family.
Mum loved her work and was very good at it. This is because of her caring and loving nature. That was our Mum, our Friend.
We would like to take this opportunity of saying farewell and thank you to all her friends, on behalf of Mum.
From Kath’s sister Audrey, and children Christine, Berneice, Anne Maree, Brian and families.
