- 1936 ELECTORAL ROLL
Altona, Uralla, labourer
Cecil Ryan, 12, son of Mrs S Ryan of Altona, was badly bruised and suffered from shock when riding a bicycle, a car collided with him. The accident occurred at the intersection of Bridge and Park Streets. Young Ryan was riding downhill and the car was being driven into the main street. Fortunately he was thrown clear when the car struck his bicycle.
Obituary
The death occurrred at Glen Innes District Hospial on July 13 of Cecil Raymond Ryan, 79, of 32 Torrington Street, Glen Innes. A service was held on July 16 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Glen Innes with Archdeacon Grant Bell officiating, followed by internment at Glen Innes Lawn Cemetery. Funeral directors were RT Lightfoot and Co.
Dearly loved father of Ken and May (Murwillumbah), Don (Sunshine Coast), and Betty Bellamy (Glen Innes), devoted grandfather of Craham and Kerrie, Debbie, Jeff, Tony, Dianne, Cheree and Michelle and great grandfather of Candace, Christopher and Bradly. Dear brother of Norm (Uralla) and Stasia (Orange). He was predeceased by his parents James and Selina Ryan and by his son Robert, daughter-in-law Beverly, brothers Tom, Joe and Arthur, sisters Grace and May. [4, 5]
