      Arthur Ambrose Ryan
      The death occurred at his residence in West Tamworth on Friday, July 24 of Arthur Ambrose Ryan. He was in his 64th year.
      The late Mr Ryan is survived by his wife Ann, and daughter, June (Mrs Parker, Parkes), also sisters Anastasia (Mrs S Rixon, Canley Vale) and May (Uralla). Brothers are Norman (Uralla), Cecil (Deepwater), Joe (Melbourne). A fourth brother, Tom, predeceased him.
      Born in Uralla in 1900, the late Mr Ryan was widely known and respected throughout the district in which he spent his whole life until he moved to Tamworth for health reasons some while ago. For many years he conducted a taxi service at Uralla. HJe was a keen bowler and an active member of the Uralla Bowling Club, having played with its first pennant team for some years.
      Following a service at St Joseph’s Church, Uralla, conducted by the Very Rev Dean J O’Connor and attended by many relatives, friends and representatives of the Uralla Bowling Club, interment took place in the Catholic portion of the Uralla cemetery on Sunday, July 26.
