      He was found on 21 Apr 1935 in the Yarra River, at a spot under the Coal Wharf Lorimer St, South Melbourne. He died on or about 8 Apr 1935. He was dressed in a khaki shirt, khaki military coat, blue trousers and black boots. He enjoyed good health and had been missing from his home since 8 Apr 1935. Deceased could not swim and was in the habit of searching for old timber and bottles under the bridge. The body was identified by his father William Heard.

      Roy Heard has been reported missing from his home at 87 Gladstone St, Montague since 12 noon on 8 Apr 1935. He left home to go to South Wharf where he collects wood and copper wire.
