AEX 9 Oct 1900, p. 5 Death. We very much regret to have to chronicle this morning the death of Mr H C Dawson, of Tom’s Gully, which unhappy event too place yesterday morning at his residence. We mentioned a short time back that he was indisposed, but little thought at the time that he was so seriously ill. Everything possible was done to alleviate his sufferings by a loving wife and family, as well as by his medical advisers, but all to no avail. The late Mr Dawson was one of our most prosperous and practical farmers. He always took a great interest in our local shows, and in his death the district has lost one of its most highly respected residents. Both of his parents are living, and very great regret was expressed in town yesterday when his death became known.
