      Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
      Uralla - A warrant has been issued by the Uralla Bench for the arrest of George Glock, charged with unlawfully deserting his illegitimate child at Salisbury, near Uralla, on the 2nd instant. Offender is about 20 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, stout build, fair complexion, light hair, little (if any) hair on face; a labourer. Supposed to have gone to Sydney. 18 June 1884

      According to John Bennett George went to Tasmana at age 14 to become a miner and was married there. He never returned to the famil, even when his mother was dying and asking for him.
